What
is kinesiology?
You may have heard it called muscle
testing or AK or applied kinesiology. Chiropractors often
use it to check for the effects certain supplements will have
on your body when you take them. Usually it is done with an
arm held out to your side, then pushed down to determine strength
or weakness after asking a question.
We also use kinesiology to test for
beliefs held in your unconscious mind. Only this method can
be done without someone there with you pushing your arm down
to test for the answers. You can do this alone.
Here's how it works:
Be sure your body is well
hydrated. (Drink at least one full glass of water before testing
your unconscious for answers.)
o Stand up.
o Face North
o Relax your hands at your sides.
o Close your eyes.
Your body will lean forward for "yes" or "true",
backward for "no" or "false".
Begin by making obvious statements as a way of checking
to be sure your body is well hydrated. State an obviously
true statement... something like... "I am female"
if you are a woman, wait for your body to lean... then state
something you know to be false, such as... "I am a
mouse."
Wait for your answer. With practice you can easily feel
the accuracy of your answers. If you are getting strange
answers to these obvious ones, then you need more water,
try a few grains of salt, even placing your hands on your
back and massaging your kidneys for a minute or so will
help hydrate you quickly. Potassium may also be helpful
in getting your body ready to work. Then try again with
obvious statements.
Once you feel your answers
are solid, then you can begin testing for beliefs. Here are
a few tips on how your unconscious communicates:
o Your unconscious mind
needs simplicity and clarity.
o Be sure to make statements rather than questions.
o Word your statements to avoid "not" "isn't"
"don't" and so on. Your unconscious mind hears
and understands only positively worded statements.
For example: "I don't like myself" may be a statement
you want to test to see what you believe. However you are
actually testing "I like myself" since "don't"
cannot be understood. So your answers would not be the answer
to the question you are asking. To test the intended belief
you would need to say "I like myself." You would
get a "yes" or "no" then you would work
based on that answer. You could even test "I hate myself".
It is the "not" that gets confusing for your unconscious.
Remember you are testing your own unconscious mind. Do not
expect to know the future, or what others are thinking etc.
You are simply creating a way for your unconscious mind
to speak to you.
Now you are ready to begin
checking for your own beliefs. Here
are some typical beliefs to help you get started.
